Important Notice

If you have purchased a cup IE the “Receiver,” a barrel cannot be sent to you until an approved form 1 is received. It is not being sold as a registered destructive device. The cup, which is the receiver, must be shipped to an FFL licensee within your state. The cup will transfer as a standard Title 1 firearm receiver, no different than a standard rifle, shotgun, or handgun. You will go to your dealer and fill out the standard 4473 over-the-counter firearms transaction record. Once the receiver is in your possession, you must fill out and submit Form 1 (application to make and register an NFA firearm) to the BATFE, requesting permission to make a destructive device. Once you have received the approved Form 1 back from the ATF, you will provide us a copy of the Form 1 for our records. You will then be able to purchase the barrel.

Must ship to an FFL license, as a Title 1 firearm receiver (no NFA transfer tax or paperwork required to go to FFL dealer). Please be advised that it is a violation of ATF/NFA rules to possess a compatible 8cm cup (receiver) and an 8cm tube (barrel) at the same time without an ATF approved Form 1 or Form 4 for the 8cm mortar (or have a Type 10 Federal Firearms License) a barrel cannot be bought until an approved form 1 is received. Incredibly hard to find item these days. Very nicely marked with “APG” for Aberdeen Proving Grounds, “PA” for Picatinny Arsenal, as well as the flaming bomb ordnance proof mark.

The Kennedy Van Saun Manufacturing & Engineering Company, commonly referred to as KVS, was founded in 1907 by Joseph E. Kennedy and P. E. Van Saun in New York City, New York. Its industry was and its headquarters were in New York City, New York (1907-1962) and Danville, Pennsylvania (1962-1989). It merged with the Danville Iron & Steel Corporation in 1933. In 1961, the company was acquired by the McNally Pittsburg Manufacturing Corporation and operated as an autonomous subsidiary. In 1989, McNally was sold to the Trelleborg Group of Sweden and KVS became a member of the Pyro Systems Division of Allis Mineral Systems, a unit of Svedala Industri AB. Later in 2017, the Danville plant closed.
