50mm French Model 37 Mortar

50mm French Model 37 Live-Fire Mortars

Explore live-fire examples, practice ammunition, and related equipment for the French 50mm Model 37, formally known as the Lance-Grenades de 50 mm modèle 1937. Developed before World War II as a light platoon-support weapon, this compact mortar replaced rifle-grenade launchers in French infantry service.

Unlike mortars that control range by changing barrel elevation, the Model 37 held its barrel at a fixed 45-degree angle and used a gas-venting collar to regulate distance. Captured examples later served German forces as the 5 cm Granatwerfer 203(f). Individual listings identify condition, included components, ammunition compatibility, and applicable transfer requirements.
