Product Features
- Reusable Training Design: The P47 TRUMP can be recovered, inspected, reloaded, and reused when it remains in serviceable condition.
- Impact Effect: Upon impact, the projectile produces smoke and an audible report that may be heard up to one mile away, depending on terrain and conditions.
- Removable Fuze: Each projectile includes a removable stainless-steel nose fuze.
- Blank Compatibility: The fuze accepts a compatible 20-gauge shotgun blank containing less than 109 grains of black powder substitute. Blanks are sold separately.
- Durable Construction: Designed to withstand repeated use when fired into suitable terrain and properly inspected after recovery.
- Individual Storage: Each projectile includes its own protective storage tube.
Durability and Inspection
Projectile service life depends heavily on the impact area. Soft soil generally causes less wear, while rocky ground, hard surfaces, and other unsuitable terrain can damage the projectile.
During testing in western Tennessee, individual projectiles have been fired and reloaded more than 150 times with reliable function. Cosmetic scraping and paint loss occurred during testing.
Inspect the projectile and fuze carefully after every firing. Do not reload or reuse any component that shows cracks, deformation, excessive wear, or other damage.

- Set of Eight: Includes eight P47 TRUMP projectiles, individual storage tubes, one USGI mortar ammunition can, and a fuze wrench.
Important Legal Notice
The P47 TRUMP projectile is not classified by ATF as a destructive device when used in the approved configuration. The compatible blank must contain less than 109 grains of black powder substitute to remain within the stated classification.
Do not exceed this limit. Use only compatible components and follow the product instructions, applicable ATF determination, and all federal, state, and local laws.
Required Purchase Documentation
The following documentation is required:
- An ATF-approved Form 1 or Form 4 for a mortar of the appropriate caliber.
- A valid state-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license.
The order must be shipped to the address shown on the approved Form 1, Form 4, or state-issued identification. The buyer is responsible for confirming that possession and use are legal in the buyer’s location.
Orders will be canceled if the required documentation is not provided.
Lead Time
These projectiles are custom manufactured and may have a lead time of up to eight weeks from the order date. Contact us before ordering for the current estimated lead time.
